white ash has a distribution across eastern north america.  hard and durable, the material has open, swirly grain and is light brown to cream in color in its raw state.  because the material tends to amber significantly with exposure to uv light, skram does not offer it as a standard natural finish (please contact the company to discuss alternatives.). skram offers two standard finishes for the white ash:  ebonized and whitewashed.  ebonized uses blended water-based dyes and pigments to produce a rich black hue with subtle, warm brown undertones.  whitewashed produces a transparent whitened effect but leaves the character of the grain unaffected.
