eastern black walnut is a native north american species that grows from the great plains to the east coast.  warm greys, purples, and browns blend to constitute the tonal range of this material.  skram finishes walnut timber with oil-based sealer coats to enhance the luster followed by multiple clear topcoats of  commercial grade, non-toxic polyurethane.  the finish is open-grained and the sheen is flat.
