a ubiquitous native species, white oak coloration is tan/straw.  rift sawn describes a milling process that produces an extremely stable product that is highly resistant to seasonal movement.  the grain of rift sawn material is vertical, or straight. skram offers three finishes on rift sawn white oak:  natural, ebonized, and whitewashed. all are open-grained finishes..  the ebonized option uses water-based dyes and pigments to produce a deep black hue with subtle, warm brown undertones.
