originating from carefully managed forests in central europe, beech is a dense, consistent and tight-grained species. the material is predominately tan/blond in color with brown flecks, streaks, and ‘dogears’ as secondary inclusions.  skram finishes the material with shellac sealer coats followed by multiple clear topcoats of commercial grade, non-toxic polyurethane.  the finish is full-fill and the sheen is flat.
